Season 9 - Adrian Nico

Hey everyone! My name is Adrian Nico, or just Adrian or Age, whichever works for you. I’m an aquarius baby and I personally think anyone who knows astrology can see that about me. LOL. I have my B.A. in Public Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration. I’m currently in grad school doing my M.S. in Management & Leadership; hoping to graduate this December or by my birthday 2023. I’m a competitive powerlifter, so you’ll probably find me at the gym during my free time. On my days off I like to sleep in as long as I can to catch up on sleep that I don’t get throughout my work week. I also like to try new foods, restaurants, and boba places, you can say it’s definitely my love language. And lastly, I’m the owner of @trnsnd.hnl on instagram, make sure to check it out! I’m all about simple clothing, and clothing you can use for multiple occasions; whether it would be for the gym, going out to lunch or dinner with friends or family, or just something to casually wear at anytime.

POST INTERVIEW QUESTION WITH ADRIAN:

1. WHAT DID YOU LEARN ABOUT YOURSELF DURING THE INTERVIEW?

During this interview, I learned that I really do like conversing with people, as much as I saw that I don’t like speaking or have a fear of it. I learned that there’s certain subjects that are super touchy and sensitive for me to talk about, but learning to be able to talk about them more, especially if it’s something about my life or helped to become who I am today. And that the future is bright with the younger generation to learn and acknowledge their traumas so that we all have a better future for ourselves, when it comes to the touchy subjects or the traumas we go through.

2. HOW CAN WE BE PROACTIVE IN SHARING OUR CULTURE?

Don’t be afraid to reach out and talk to people or to share your experiences with others because it can really help someone who may be going through that same situation and needs a person to talk to or ear to listen to them. Don’t be afraid of what you went through because it helped to make who you are today and build for a better tomorrow.

3. WHAT ARE QUESTIONS YOU WOULD LIKE TO ASK CHACHIE?

What got you inspired to do this podcast?

___

The reason being why I started this podcast is to provide a platform for out community to not only share their stories but to create a safe space for many Filipinos in Hawaii''i an outlet to share their stories. A part of it as well had to be my passion and willingly to learn about the different individuals and the different Filipinos here in Hawai'i and their impact as a settler, transplant and those who were apart that have contribute some shape form or another.

Nethertheless, after this podcast episode I will be in a hiatus and hibernation mode. With that said, don't forget to check our past episodes and seasons of the podcast. See you in three months!
